A Pilates Matwork class is a low-impact, full-body workout designed to improve strength, flexibility, and posture while promoting a strong mind-body connection. The class takes place on a mat and focuses on controlled movements, precise alignment, and deep core engagement. We use assists like the band, light weights, ball, foam roller, a chair, a pillow and even the wall.

Class Structure – Live Online:

  1. Warm-Up (5-10 minutes)
    • Gentle stretches and breathing exercises to prepare the body.
    • Focus on engaging the core and establishing proper alignment.
  2. Core & Stability Work (15-20 minutes)
    • Exercises like the Hundreds, Roll-Up, and Single-Leg Stretch to strengthen the deep abdominal muscles.
    • Emphasis on controlled movements and proper spinal alignment.
  3. Strength & Mobility (15-20 minutes)
    • A mix of planks, bridges, and side-lying leg work to tone the entire body.
    • Movements flow smoothly, enhancing coordination and balance.
  4. Flexibility & Cool Down (5-10 minutes)
    • Gentle stretches to release tension and improve mobility.
    • Breathing techniques to relax the body and mind.
